Windows of Opportunity


Let us now examine the financial implications of producing, and using, computer systems. In the example which we are concerned with some form of computer system is required to support a new or enhanced product or service. Something which needs to be considered is that for any given 'product' there exists a fixed'window of opportunity' during which it can exist, this window is limited by such things as government legislation, competitive activity, market pressures, etc.
